What makes me, me? Lol...that’s a weighted question. My perseverance. My faith and spirituality. No matter what hurdles life has thrown my way thus far, I’ve surpassed. I’m a woman with a vision, not only myself but other women who have lost themselves in all the various roles we play in life. I teach whenever I can-I learn whenever I can. My goal, amongst many others, is to not become a statistic. I’m an Afro Latina with a voice that I refuse to ever silence. Women empowerment. Being me is what makes me, me.
I am the black sheep of my family to an extent. I have this great belief in breaking generational curses (Trans-generational trauma). It’s difficult to accomplish that when in your own household trauma isn’t considered a thing. I have had the unfortunate experience of having to bring up topics that make others uncomfortable. But that has only made me stronger in standing my ground and speaking up against injustice. And in being the best mother/role model I could be
