Taisha B. Abreu
What makes you you?
What makes me Taisha is my loving and genuine soul. No matter who I am around and what type of personalities surround me, I have this magical glitter that I sprinkle around the room, which changes the vibe of things ... in the right way. I also believe that everyone has unique characteristics that shape them into who they are, which leads to my inspirational mantras to anyone that comes and talks to me about a self-challenge they are facing. That also describes what makes me, my ability to inspire those around me to push themselves towards their highest potential.
Are you the black sheep of your family? How has that affected who you are now?
The thing is, my family doesn't have any black sheep. We are all a herd of sheep of the same kind with different personalities, genders, hair, color, nationalities but share the same blood of ambition, respect, humbleness, and love. Never have I been considered a black sheep, not anyone in my family, because of our respect level. Because of the judgment-free zone and unity within my entire family, it has made me strong and more aware of how different some families are in regards to expectations and differences. Even if my story was different, being the black sheep would empower me to shine and crawl my way past the negativity.
What's your go-to affirmation?
My go-to affirmation is “My challenges allow me to blossom”. Every challenge faced in life is a lesson, every challenge defeated gives you super powers that you never knew existed. Rather than getting upset, I always look at things from a different perspective to understand the “why” and just soak it in till the acceptance and understanding within is confirmed. That’s why I always like to challenge myself even with things as simple as self-development and doing things that make me uncomfortable.
