Hmm, I feel like what makes me the person I am is that I just feel like I am different. You look at me and have a perception of who I might be, but I’m just very versatile. I might look edgy, but I love the colors like pink and lavender. One day I can be super girly, and the next day I can be tomboyish. I love country music, and I use to longboard. I might look serious, but I’m the most caring person you will ever come across. I am also a proud Afro Latina, I love my dark complexion. That’s what separates me from the world’s typical view of a Latina. This ties up with what makes me me, because at the end of the day I am different and I love it. I am also the black sheep of my family, I don’t even know anyone else that’s part of the LGBT community besides myself. I also have piercings and tattoos, I wear a lot of black. Can’t get any black sheep than that haha. I like being the black sheep cause we are the best! I don’t blend in with everyone else and that’s okay, it only made me become more reserved and strong minded. I have stories about people who judged me for having piercings and tattoos, or rocking anything rainbow for that matter. I really learned not to give a fuck honestly. To sum this all up, my go to affirmation is “I am at peace with all that has happened, is happening, and will happen”. Technically that’s how we can get through life, right?
