i most definitely am the black sheep in my ‘fam-uh-ly’. I’m the black sheep because I’m the only LGBTQ+ person in my family. I’m the black sheep in my family because i am a pot head. I’m the black sheep in my family because, tu sabe, I’m the one who apparent who has disrespected but has only stood up for themselves.

That has shaped me in every way because it helped me understand that I am not on my own. that there are other LGBTQ+ and black sheep’s in other families going through the same thing I have y’know and we’ve been marginalized bc we haven’t had the space. so now its my sole duty to continue to be the black sheep, even in my own community, and take up that space for myself. so I’m grateful that i got my training wheels with my family because now I really need to take in the world OKURR!

my go to affirmation is definitely playing ‘Luxury’ by Azalea Banks. and I’m not talking about 1-2x a day, i play that song after every single thing that i do bv it just gets me fucking high that is my fucking song.

My thoughts on what’s going on in the Dominican republic is its really ignorant. they’re scared because we’re more vibrant than ever, we’re taking over social media, we’re taking control of the streets, we’re taking control of our confidence, so they can feel that surge coming of freedom. their minds are not as conscious yet to understand all that freedom and its NOT demonic! Cuz that’s what their dumbasses think. it saddens me because not its going to scare some of the men that may have come out or scare some of the people that have relaxed with the idea of us. it could put us in jeopardy, it could set us back in the Dominican republic.

That’s why era tan importante de yo hablar de eso en ingles porque yo me puedo sentar y hablar de eso en espanol mil veces, but I reached an audience that only speaks English so that’s what I wanted to do.
